Social Capital

Editor's Note

Welcome to the latest edition of the Social Capital Newsletter. Social Capital is an intangible asset at the heart of a new and dynamic view of success, one that is changing business and the world as we know it. With many mothers struggling to find baby formula during the recent shortages, Laura Katz was inspired to find a solution. A food scientist well aware of the many substitute foods being manufactured, Katz reasoned that she could make an alternative infant formula, too. As you'll learn in "Helaina's 'Alternative Baby Formula' Aims to Empower Parents," Katz uses the immune properties of breast milk in infant formula she makes at her company Helaina, as well as other foods like nutritional bars and supplements. Her goal: To change the world of health by introducing foods that support the immune system in a scalable business she hopes will reach as many people as possible.
