Warren Buffett Splashes $185 Million For 1 Million Shares Of This Leading Aerospace Company In Q2
Warren Buffett

Warren Buffett, the chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, made significant investments in the second quarter, purchasing 1.04 million Class A shares of Heico Corporation for $185.37 million. Heico operates in two main segments: the Flight Support Group (FSG) and the Electronic Technologies Group (ETG), with most of its revenue coming from the FSG segment. FSG specializes in providing premium aftermarket parts and repair solutions to airlines globally, while ETG designs and develops electrical components and systems for various high-tech applications, including aerospace and defense.

Heico reported record financial results for the quarter ending April 30, with notable increases in net income, net sales, and operating income. The FSG segment saw its 15th consecutive quarter of net sales growth, with a 39% increase to a record $955.4 million, attributed to acquisitions and high demand for its aerospace and defense products. The company’s cash flow also surged by 82% year-over-year, driven by rising demand in its aftermarket replacement parts and repair services. Heico's management remains optimistic about continued growth, supported by new product designs and services aimed at better market penetration.

In addition to investing in Heico, Buffett added cosmetics brand Ulta Beauty to Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio, purchasing 690,110 shares worth $266.29 million. He also more than doubled his stake in Sirius XM Holdings, increasing his position by 262.24% to 132.88 million shares valued at over $376 million. These moves reflect Buffett's strategy of investing in companies with strong market positions and growth potential, even as Heico's valuation suggests it might be overvalued compared to industry peers. Travelling To Europe? British Tourists Will Need This £6 'Visa Waiver' To Enter Effective June 2025

Starting in June 2025, British tourists visiting Europe will need to obtain a £6 visa waiver as part of the European Union's new travel regulations under the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS). The system, designed to enhance security, requires non-EU travellers, including Britons, to apply online for the waiver, which will be valid for three years or until their passport expires. Upon entering Europe, travellers will need to provide biometric data as part of the Entry/Exit System (EES), set to be implemented in November 2025. These new measures aim to improve border security but may extend processing times, making it essential for British travellers to prepare and stay informed about these changes to avoid disruptions to their travel plans.
