Biden ponders Israel visit despite warfare

President Joe Biden abruptly cancelled a domestic political trip to meet with his national security team Monday as he weighed an invitation to go to Israel to show support as it wages war against Hamas. Biden was due to visit Colorado but stayed at the White House at the last minute. The White House confirmed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had invited Biden following the deadly Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel that killed more than 1,400 people, but said there were no travel plans yet.

Judge slaps Trump with a partial gag order

The federal judge presiding over Donald Trump's trial for conspiring to overturn the 2020 US presidential election imposed a partial gag order on the former president on Monday. US District Judge Tanya Chutkan ordered Trump not to publicly attack prosecutors, court staff or potential witnesses ahead of the historic trial scheduled to begin in Washington in March 2024. Trump reacted with a post on his Truth Social platform: TRUMP: 'A TERRIBLE THING HAPPENED TO DEMOCRACY TODAY'


Lawyer says SBF requires Adderall to testify

Sam Bankman-Fried, co-founder of the now-bankrupt crypto empire FTX, might testify in court but he needs access to more Adderall to "meaningfully participate" in the trial. As SBF's fraud trial enters its third week, his lawyers revealed he was having a hard time staying focused while in litigation because he could not take "his prescribed dose of Adderall during trial hours."
