Oceans are heating up to record-breaking levels at a fast pace and there is no sign of stopping, according to NOAA. Data processed by the Climate Change Institute showed ocean surface temperatures are rising at an alarming rate, particularly in April and May, recording the highest levels since the 1950s. The US has granted its first-ever approvals to two companies to sell chicken grown directly from animal cells, paving the way for lab-grown meat to be offered to consumers. The US Department of Agriculture reviewed and approved food safety systems at the facilities of Upside Foods and Good Meat, the USDA said, adding that the companies carrying the products would be available soon at certain restaurants.
