Biden will host India's Modi to bolster ties

President Joe Biden will host India's Narendra Modi for a state visit in June, while Washington courts New Delhi as a bulwark against China despite disagreements on the delicate subject of Ukraine. The invitation comes amid rising concerns about human rights abuse and democratic backsliding under Modi's Hindu nationalist leadership in India, the world's most populous nation. Washington has long sought to boost India as a counter-influence to an increasingly assertive China in Asia.

PayPal raises crypto holdings to nearly $1B

Financial tech giant PayPal revealed it has seen an increase in its cryptocurrency holdings by more than 50% in the first quarter of this year, which is equivalent to nearly $1 billion. In PayPal's latest quarterly report filing of the company's performance, it disclosed that it currently holds $943 million worth of customer assets in Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC) on its balance sheet.

Tucker Carlson slammed for Twitter show

A former employee of Twitter has criticized Tucker Carlson's plan to revive his show through the social media platform. The ousted Fox News host announced his plan to relaunch his show through Twitter but Elon Musk said no official deal was made with Carlson. The notion that Carlson could build a significant video business on the platform was "stupid," the ex-Twitter employee who worked on a show told Semafor.
