Tennessee lawmakers seek return to seats

Two Tennessee Democrats who were expelled from the Republican-led state House of Representatives last week over their participation in a gun control protest said on Sunday that they plan to reclaim their seats. Reps. Justin Jones and Justin Pearson, who joined protesters at the state capitol in Nashville to demand stricter gun laws following a mass shooting at a local school, said they hoped to be reappointed by their districts to serve in their seats until they run again in special elections.

White House weighs in on abortion pill ban

The White House is in discussions with abortion pill manufacturers and U.S. pharmacy chains on ways to push back against efforts to ban mifepristone, as it gears up to appeal a Texas court ruling suspending the approval of the drug. U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk suspended approval of mifepristone, which essentially makes sales of the pill illegal in the U.S., while legal challenges proceed. A Washington state ruling on Friday blocks changes to pill sales in 17 states.

Was 'Wheel' contestant robbed of $100K?

Some "Wheel of Fortune" fans felt that contestant Alexa Hoekstra was "robbed" after she failed to win a $100,000 prize on the game show last week. Hoekstra won Thursday's episode of "Wheel of Fortune" to make it to the bonus round for a chance to win a bigger prize, but confusion about the final answer cost her the shot at the big prize after the Texas Woman's University student was given a clue  "What Are You Doing?"
