US to ByteDance: Sell TikTok or be banned

The US government has told China-based ByteDance to sell its shares in the blockbuster TikTok app or face a national ban, media reports said on Wednesday. The European Union and the U.S. have been taking an increasingly tough approach to the app, citing fears user data could be used or abused by Chinese officials. The White House last week welcomed a bill that would allow President Joe Biden to ban TikTok.

US drone downed by Russian jet lost at sea

The U.S. military surveillance drone that crashed into the Black Sea will likely never be recovered, White House spokesman John Kirby said on Wednesday. The craft was intercepted Tuesday by Russian fighter jets, which struck the unmanned drone's propeller and made it inoperable, the Pentagon said. Russia's defense ministry blamed the drone's "sharp maneuvering" for the crash, saying its jets did not make contact.

Buffalo Wild Wings sued for 'boneless wing'

Buffalo Wild Wings is facing the heat in a class-action lawsuit alleging the restaurant chain engages in "false and deceptive marketing," in the promotion of its boneless chicken wings. The suit, brought up by a Chicago-area man, claims Buffalo Wild Wings knowingly misleads its customers by describing its product as boneless wings, which the plaintiff believes are actually glorified chicken nuggets.
