Twitter CEO Elon Musk says he might be ready to step down as head of the social media network by the end of 2023, when he hopes the company will be financially stable enough for him to name a successor. "I think I need to stabilize the organization and just make sure it's in a financially healthy place and that the product roadmap is clearly laid out," Musk said at the World Government Summit in Dubai. Musk has not offered any insight into potential candidates, but did post a picture of his dog with the caption: "The new CEO of Twitter is amazing."

President Joe Biden's nominee to run the IRS pledged on Wednesday not to raise tax audit rates for U.S. households and small businesses earning less than $400,000 a year as the agency implements $80 billion in new funding for tax compliance. Danny Werfel told the Senate Finance Committee he was "committed to meeting" Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen's directive to not raise the proportion of audits for those earning under $400,000, while focusing "on enhancing IRS capabilities to ensure America's highest earners comply with applicable tax laws."
