House condemns China over spy balloon

The House of Representatives unanimously approved a resolution on Thursday condemning the Chinese Communist Party's use of a spy balloon over the continental U.S. that new intel shows was capable of collecting communication signals. The resolution cleared the chamber in an uncommon bipartisan 419-0 vote. The Pentagon last week tracked a high-altitude Chinese surveillance balloon floating over the U.S. before shooting it down over water off the coast of South Carolina.

SpaceX fires up Starship rocket for first time

SpaceX's towering Super Heavy booster, one half of the company's Starship rocket system, briefly roared to life Thursday for the first time in a test-firing that puts the behemoth moon and Mars vehicle closer to its first orbital flight in the coming months. Thirty-one of the Super Heavy's 33 Raptor rocket engines fired for roughly 10 seconds at SpaceX's facilities in Boca Chica, Texas -- "But still enough engines to reach orbit!," SpaceX CEO Elon Musk tweeted shortly after the test.

Netflix password sharing rules anger users

"Netflix and chill" has become more complicated after the streaming service's crackdown on password sharing. Following some confusion among subscribers (and probably more than a few pirates), Netflix clarified the new restrictions on password sharing beyond one household. The streaming service also has rolled out "new features" that will require them to buy an extra subscription for additional users.
