The Justice Department has subpoenaed Tesla for more information about its "Full Self-Driving" and Autopilot features following a string of public mishaps. Tesla is already in the midst of multiple investigations by the NHTSA for problems with its automated driver-assist systems. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has repeatedly stated that the cars cannot drive themselves while also hyping the self-driving features. Despite the disclaimer, Tesla is under fire for what some call misleading advertising.

President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will hold their first meeting over raising the debt ceiling without any specific proposals to stave off a possible default, both sides indicated on Tuesday. Today's meeting is likely just the opening bell of back-and-forth bargaining over raising the nation's $31.4 billion borrowing cap. Failure to reach a deal could lead to a default on U.S. debt as early as June. However, neither side is showing signs they're willing to negotiate on anything just yet.

Alec Baldwin has officially been charged in the fatal shooting on the set of his movie "Rust" in New Mexico. The actor was charged with two felony counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection to the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Similar charges were formally filed against the film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who oversaw the weapons on set. "Rust" assistant director David Halls agreed to take a misdemeanor plea deal for handing the loaded gun to Baldwin.
