Climate crisis to cost companies, countries

In a year marked by yet more climate-linked storms, hurricanes and droughts, governments and companies were forced to address the financial risks and their exposure to liability. Nowhere was this more apparent than at the U.N. climate conference in Egypt, where countries reached a landmark agreement to set up a fund to help poor countries cope with climate-fueled disaster costs. The COP27 talks did little to address the cause of those disasters or how to cover the costs.

National parks offer five free days in 2023

The U.S. National Parks Service is offering citizens the chance to enjoy America's natural beauty for free in 2023. Five dates will feature free entry to any of its parks for the day, including 63 sites across the country. Some of the most popular national parks include Grand Canyon National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Yosemite National Park, Zion National Park and more.
