Biden's 'armageddon' threat sounds alarm

President Joe Biden's chilling threat last week of possible nuclear "armageddon" was not based on any new development or intelligence received by the U.S., a top Biden spokesperson said Sunday. Biden's comments appeared to be a direct assessment of Russian President Vladimir Putin's nuclear capabilities. Biden's comments at a fundraiser in New York City last week took many by surprise, as he hammered on the possibility of Russia deploying nuclear weapons against Ukraine.

Xi poised to appoint himself to a third term

Chinese leader Xi Jinping is widely expected to break with precedent at the ruling Communist Party Congress that starts this week and extend his decade-long leadership for another five years - or beyond. Text messages between the wife of Georgia Republican Senate candidate and the mother of one of his children show that Walker paid $700 for a woman to have an abortion and later tried to pressure the same woman to have a second abortion.
