Fauci stepping down after five-decade run

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the top U.S. infectious disease official who became the face of America's COVID-19 pandemic response, announced on Monday he is stepping down after more than five decades of public service. Fauci, whose pandemic efforts were praised by public health experts even as he was vilified by many Republicans, will step down as the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases -- an institute he has headed since 1984 -- in December.

Musk, Dorsey clash in billionaire showdown

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk is seeking documents from Twitter Inc co-founder Jack Dorsey as the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX pursues his legal fight to walk away from his $44 billion deal for the social media company, according to a court filing. Dorsey, who resigned as Twitter's chief executive in November and left the board in May, was asked for documents and communications about Musk's April agreement to buy the company and about spam accounts on the social media platform.

Burger giants add twists to chicken wars

The chicken wars have hit another level with a pair of burger chains' latest offerings. McDonald's is testing what it hopes is the next big hit with American consumers – the Chicken Big Mac. The burger chain is testing the Chicken Big Mac in select locations in Miami for a limited time. Meanwhile, Burger King is expanding its venture into plant-based meat with the Impossible Original Chick'n Sandwich, which will be available for a limited time at restaurants in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.
