Webb Telescope gives deep gaze into space

NASA released the next wave of images from the James Webb Space Telescope Tuesday, including the cosmic cliffs of a stellar nursery and a quintet of galaxies bound in a celestial dance, heralding a new era of astronomy. Released one by one at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, the new images demonstrated the full power of the $10 billion observatory, which uses infrared cameras to gaze into the distant universe with unprecedented clarity for mankind's best view of space.

Twitter fallout fires up Musk-Trump feud

Elon Musk has struck back at former President Donald Trump after the latter offered mocking criticism of his decision to pull out of negotiations to buy Twitter. Trump publicly panned Musk for getting "himself a mess" by ditching his plans to purchase Twitter. Musk justified his decision to withdraw from the takeover bid over what he insists is Twitter's refusal to share data on the number of bots on its platform. Twitter threatened to sue Musk, setting the stage for a potential heavyweight legal battle

'Succession' tops list of Emmy nominations

HBO's "Succession" topped this year's Emmy nominations, earning 25 nods on Tuesday, as "Squid Game" became the first non-English-language drama series shortlisted for glory for television's top awards. "Succession," led the drama nominees, while "Ted Lasso" and "The White Lotus" topped the comedy and limited series categories with 20 nominations each. "Squid Game" also picked up 14 nods in total.
