Congress targets Google with antitrust bill

Congress has long signaled that it was preparing antitrust measures to rein in Big Tech. On Thursday, lawmakers introduced a bill that targets Google's digital advertising business. The Senate's bipartisan proposal, The Competition and Transparency in Digital Advertising Act, would have broad revenue implications for a company with a market cap of about $1.5 trillion. Under the bill, companies would be prohibited from processing more than $20 billion in annual digital ad transactions from participating in more than one part of the digital advertising sector.

Bush's 'unjustified war' gaffe angers Iraqis

In a speech, Bush called the 2003 invasion of Iraq, which he ordered, "unjustified and brutal" -- before correcting himself. "The decision of one man to launch a wholly unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq, I mean of Ukraine," he said, blaming the slip on his age. "Anyway -- 75."
