CIA warns of Russia's use of tactical nukes

The threat of Russia potentially using tactical or low-yield nuclear weapons in Ukraine cannot be taken lightly, but the CIA has not seen a lot of practical evidence reinforcing that concern, CIA Director William Burns said Thursday. Burns' most extensive public comments since Russia invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24 underscored concerns that the biggest attack against a European state since 1945 risks escalating to the use of nuclear weapons. Meanwhile, the US provided more military aid to fend off Russian forces expected assault on the Donbas region.

Subway shooter left clue trail, made call

Suspected New York City subway shooter Frank James was arrested without incident after a terrorizing morning commute, but his execution left much to be desired. James left a trail of clues for investigators to track him down during the 30-hour manhunt, and he even placed a call to the police hotline to turn himself in outside a Manhattan McDonald's.
