    More Americans are having a harder time making ends meet despite how much they earn, according to study that shows “consumers of all income brackets are increasingly living paycheck to paycheck, including those earning higher incomes.” According to the research, the number of Americans living paycheck to paycheck “has increased steadily since April 2021 and was 64% in January 2022 . . . a 3% jump in just a month.” Perhaps most surprising, the data shows that “48% of consumers earning more than $100,000 per year reported living on the edge..

Mideast Summit clouded by Iran, Ukraine

Secretary of State Antony Blinken sought to reassure Israeli and Arab partners convening for a rare summit in Israel on Sunday that the U.S. would continue to counter any Iranian threat even as he promoted nuclear diplomacy with Tehran. The summit includes foreign ministers from three Arab states that normalized ties with Israel even as peace-making with the Palestinians is stalled. Blinken's visit comes as some allies in the region question the Biden administration's commitment and brace for fallout from an Iranian nuclear deal and the Ukrainian crisis.

Oscars return to red carpet, honor Ukraine

A star-studded, glamour-packed Oscars red carpet marked the full return of Hollywood's big night out at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre on Sunday after the seismic changes brought by COVID-19. After a scaled-down ceremony at a train station last year, the Oscars returned to their traditional venue as celebrities walked the red carpet and about  2,500 gown- and tuxedo-clad attended the 94th Academy Awards.

Big bear on campus relocated to Smokies

A 500-pound black bear living near a Tennessee college campus was captured and moved to a remote area of the Great Smoky Mountains. Nicknamed “Big Bruin,” the bear was living close to Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee, raiding trash cans and bird-feeders. Due to the bear becoming habituated to humans and ever-expanding its territory, Big Bruin was trapped, tranquilized and relocated to the forest.
