  • Russian forces race into Ukraine after Putin orders attack

    Russian forces fired missiles at several Ukrainian cities and landed troops on its south coast on Thursday after President Vladimir Putin authorized what he called a special military operation in the east. Shortly after Putin spoke in a televised address on Russian state TV, explosions could be heard in the pre-dawn quiet of the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv. Gunfire rattled near the capital's main airport, the Interfax news agency said.

'The People's Convoy' rolling towards DC

Hundreds of truckers and supporters left California on Wednesday in a convoy headed across the U.S. towards Washington, D.C., to protest against pandemic restrictions. Inspired by the demonstrations that crippled Canadian cities for weeks, organizers of "The People's Convoy" want an end to mask mandates, vaccination requirements and business shutdowns that are intended to slow the march of Covid-19.

New COVID vaccine offers 100% efficacy

A new vaccine developed by French drugmaker Sanofi and its British partner GlaxoSmithKline offers its recipients maximum protection against severe cases of COVID-19, the makers said Wednesday. In its Phase 3 clinical trial, the Sanofi-GSK vaccine was found to be 100% effective in preventing severe COVID infections and hospitalizations.

Kraft Heinz announced that it is partnering with food tech start-up TheNotCo to focus on plant-based innovation, including hot dogs and other Oscar Mayer products. Its new plant-based products will take on TheNotCo's “not” phrase and be titled “Not Hot Dogs," which doesn't narrow it down since we're not 100% sure what goes into a real wiener.
