  • US trade deficit approached $1 trillion milestone in 2021

    The U.S. trade deficit approached $1 trillion in 2021 as Americans imported more goods and services despite the ongoing supply chain snarls created by the COVID-19 pandemic. The latest statistics show the goods and services deficit leapt 27% to reach $859.1 billion, up from $678.7 billion in 2020. Imports of consumer goods increased by $5.2 billion versus only $1.2 billion in exports.

Canadian online video platform Rumble offered Joe Rogan a $100 million deal to move his popular podcast to its platform amid controversy with Spotify. Artists like Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Nils Lofgren and India.Arie have recently requested to remove their music from Spotify after Rogan's show spread COVID-19  misinformation.

US-Canada bridge reopens amid protests

Police in Canada announced that one of the busiest bridges between the U.S. and Canada was reopened Tuesday after being blocked by protesting truckers for nearly a day. Canadian truckers who gathered to protest against the national government’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate and other restrictions have kept up their demonstrations.
