FTC wants to force Facebook to sell apps

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is pushing for Facebook (Meta) to sell WhatsApp and Instagram, asserting that the company bought up its opponents to eliminate opposition. A federal judge has approved of the FTC’s pursuit and will take Facebook to court over antitrust violations.
